CHICOD SCIENCE NIGHT |
On February 21st the Pitt County PAGE (Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education) group held an event at C. M. Eppes Middle School. Students worked with Mr. Bill McClung to build a robot. The students then held a competition.
Fourth graders Landon Elks, Wesley Dean, Ivan Ortiz, Wiley Reynolds & Austin Harrell's team went the furthest in competition. It was double elimination and they got to go four times! |

Students that qualified for the afternoon round placed based on their individual test score. Megan McKeel placed 10th, Wesley Dean placed 11th and Landon Elks placed 24th.
Austin Harrell, Wesley Dean and Landon Elks won 1st place in the 4th grade group challenge. Their group had the highest group score out of all students competing! As a whole, Chicod won 3rd place and brought home a trophy! We are so proud of our kids and all of their hard work!!! |
